Arthur Guérin-Boëri & Panerai: exploring depths and cultures

Panerai welcomes its new Friend of the Brand, Arthur Guérin-Boëri, an athlete, explorer and inspirational speaker. This distinctive partnership brings together the Maison and a committed adventurer, both united by a shared passion for the oceans. Arthur is an outstanding freediver with 8 world records, including 2 under ice in extreme conditions. His ambition goes beyond sport, he explores ocean cultures and works to improve understanding of these fragile ecosystems.

Born and bred in the heart of Paris, Arthur Guérin-Boëri has always been fascinated by contact with the aquatic element. Far from tropical beaches, his city childhood nurtured a thirst for adventure and a deep connection with the unknown “I grew up in the heart of Paris. And although the grandeur and diversity of the marine world seemed far removed from my city childhood, the call of the deep resonated within me” explains Arthur, evoking this inexplicable link with the ocean. As a teenager, he found refuge and a sense of fulfilment in the waters of the Mediterranean, developing a fascination for freediving.

It wasn't until 2010, at the age of 26, that Arthur Guérin-Boëri devoted himself fully to this discipline, joining a freediving club. He quickly distinguished himself in competitions, and in 2013 he joined the French team. The experience was a turning point.

Over the years, he has racked up success after success, achieving an unrivalled level of excellence. His repertoire of achievements is now exceptional, crowned by five world championship titles and eight world records, including two under ice; a unique and committed performance that testifies his ability to push the limits of the human body in extreme conditions.

Today, Arthur Guérin-Boëri devotes himself to ambitious projects that transcend sport. His desire for creativity, through his documentary series “L'Odyssée Salée” - which shares his discoveries with the general public - bears witness to a deep commitment to understanding our oceans. With subtlety, the beauty of his images and the authenticity of his approach, Arthur is trying to raise awareness of the need to preserve and protect these ecosystems.

It's not just an exploration of the ocean depths, but an immersion in the cultures and lifestyles of the communities that depend on the ocean.

He uses his fame and creativity to share his vision of change, resilience, surpassing oneself and stress management through conferences and workshops, inviting his audience to reach their full potential.
